SOUTH AFRICAN LEADER ANGLO-IRISH DISPUTE (Received June lfi. 0.5 p.m.) ( LONDON, June 10 The Daily Telegraph's political writer states that General Smuts, Deputy Prime Minister of South Africa, is interesting himself in the dispute between Britain and the Irish Free State. General Smuts is interviewing the leaders of both countries with a view to a resumption of formal conversations. It is doubtful, however, whether Mr. de Valera, President of the Dail, is prepared to engage in negotiations at present.
