| HOUSING ACCOMMODATION * j Further reference to the suitability of the Broadlnnds block for close settlement was made at a meeting of the Small Farms League last evening. It was reported that definite advice had been received that the area., besides r growing good clover and root crops, had been found to grow good lucerne. Although firewood was scarce , on the block there was ample timber in the immediate neighbourhood. Housing on the small iarms was the subject of some discussion. It was agreed, that- while the cowsheds proposed modern and suitable there was need for a wider choice as to the s;ze and design of the proposed dwellings. Applications wore received from as far 'south as Oatnaru for assistance m obtaining small farms under the schema rind promises of inclusion in group 3 were givfen.
