Wilier, chief of the entomological department of Cawthron Institute, said i that for the past two years Mr. L. J. | Dumbleton had been making researches ; at the institute into apple leaf hopper, leaf rollers and codlin moth. "The results," said Dr. Miller, "are oi* outstanding importance to the fruit industry, and will prove to be the means of fundamentally improving crop production to a very marked degree." The statement was received with applause.
