FAREWELL SOCIAL
A farewell social was tendered to Mr. and Mrs. W.« Leslie, of Kainni, Taupiri, in the Kainui Hall, at which over BO DCople were present. Mr. W. Leslie was orie of the most resnected farmers of the district and president of the Tanpiri Tennis Club. Mr. G. Walter farewelled the guests of honour, and Mr. Thome presented them with a dinner waggon on behalf of the settlers of the district. Mr. W. Waring made a presentation of a set of hair brnshes on behalf of the Tc?nnis Club. Mrs. R. T. Hill's Orchestra provided music for dancing, which formed the major part of the evening's entertainment. Mr. Leslie is moving with his family to Papakura.
