DISPLAY OF ANTIQUES

A unique opportunity was given to the residents of Hamilton and district on Tuesday and Wednesday last to see tho excellent display of curios and antiques exhibited in First Church Hall The exhibition wa-3 arranged by the Ladies Guild and was patronised by lar<*e numbers of people. One outstanding" feature was the demonstration of wool spinning and winding given bv Mesdames Frazer and' Clothier, who had spun in their girlhood days in the north of Scotland. The spinning wheels were made in Scotland, and are now of great age. A book 286 years old, a primitive sewing machine, Paisley shawls and valuable old Sheffield plate were among tho collection. The proceeds were devoted toward the twenty-first birthday campaign funds of the Presbyterian Church, Frankton.
