WHANGAREI SHOW
SATISFACTORY ENTRIES [FROM OUK OWN* CORRESPONDENT] AVHAXGARET, Wednesday Entries received for the Whangarei Winter Show, which opens next week, are slightly loss than those received in the previous year, but in view of the difficult times they are considered satisfactory. They total 2178 as against 2445. The sections which show the largest decrease arc those of farm, garden, preserves and baking, the first two by the lateness of the season and the latter two by the introduction of a competition for Women's Institute Courts. A feature of the show will be the Women's Institute Courts, which have been introduced, at the show for the first time. Eight entries have been received. The services of "Jason," the mechanical man from Hamilton, have been obtained, and he will perform the opening ceremony.
