HOMESTEAD BURNED

McGill, was totally destroyed by lire Inst evening. At tho time of the outreak the house was occupied by Mr. A. Polisland, a nephew of Mr. McGill. Mr. Polisland finished milking in'the cowshed about 5 p.m., and went to the house to have his tea, but had occasion to go back to the cowshed for something he had overlooked. On returning to the house he found it on fire with the Haines shooting through the roof. The fire had such a hold that he was able to save only a suit of clothes and one or two articles of furniture.
