CHINESE ROBBED
ASSAULT BY TWO MEN INCIDENT NEAR MISSION A Chinese was assaulted and robbed by two men shortly after leaving the Chinese Mission Church in Cook Street about 8.30 last evening. The Chinese was not far from the church, where a service had been conducted by the Rev. Y. S. Chau, when he was seized from behind. One man held his arms firmly to his sides, while another man quickly emptied the pockets of the Chinese, taking all the money he had, a 10s note and a little change. The robbery was carried out quickly, and the victim was not injured or struck. As soon as the money had been secured, he was released, and his two assailants ran away.
