LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MEETING OF OFFICERS The quarterly provincial meeting of officers of the League of Mothers was held in the Y.W.C.A. last week, Mrs. S. 0.- English presiding. Representatives from branches throughout tho Auckland Province were present, as well as other officers. • Mrs. English and Mrs. Whyte, members of the organising committee, reported on their trip to ' South Auckland branches. A discussion took place with regard to the formation of a fund to assist tlio organising committee in arranging for tlio visiting of outlying branches. It was decided to try and make it possible for the league's delegate to the National Councd of Women .to exerciso .her vote in matters which concern women and children. TAKAPUNA BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Takapuna branch of the League of Mothers was held in the Women's Memorial Hall, Killarney Street, yesterday. An address on co-operation in tho home was given by Mrs. F. C. Whyte, Auckland provincial secretary of the Mothers'. League, who stressed its great influence and benefits in family life. Afternoon tea was served bv Mrs. R. Cronhelm, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Gorrie and Mrs. Mcßride.
