SUBURBAN CROQUET

PRESENTATION CEREMONY A pleasing ceremony took placo on the Pukekoho Croquet Club's lawns last week, when tho silver cup, which had been competed for during the past season by clubs in tho South Suburban Croquet Association, was presented to Pukckohe by tho association president, Mrs. C. C. Munro, of Clevedon. About 30 members of interested clubs were present, including visitors from Clevedon, Manurewa, Papakura, Waiuku, Tuakau and Buckland. Progressive croquet was played for two hours, and afternoon tea was served in the bowlers' pavilion. Mrs. E. W. Dyer, president of the PukekoheClub, introduced Mrs. Munro and presented her with a bouquet. Mrs. Munro then presented the cup to the winning team and made individual presentations to its members. She complimented the team on their uniform good play and on again winning the championship. Short speeches were also given by visiting presidents and cheers were given for Mrs. Munro and Mrs. R. Forbes, the secretary of the association.
