OUTSTANDING SWIM
MISS LEYDON'S PERFORMANCE The feat of M iss Mona Levdon, the lady distance swimming champion of New Zealand, in breaking Miss Kathleen Miller's record of 13m 54s for 880 yards bv 53 2-os. on Monday evening is ranked among the best performances of the season. In view of the fact that Miss Levdon had no one to pace her bevond 2;jo. yards her performance is all the more meritorious. Lately she lias appeared to be losing form and so her many admirers hope that she will soon attempt to set a new half-mile record under official conditions.
