STAWELL EASTER GIFT WINNER'S PRIOR ADVENTURE (Received April 17. 9.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE. April 17 The Stawell Easter Gift (130 yards) which is regarded as the blue ribbon event of tho running world, resulted today as follows:—C. Heath (Victoria), 11 yards, 1; R. McNeill, 12 yards, 2; w. George, 11 yards, 3. Won easily in 11 £ seconds. An attempt was made to injure Heath yesterday. His assailant, who made a vicious kick at one of his ankles, was arrested. After that Heath was provided with police protection.
