PEDESTRIAN KILLED
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR ACCIDENT NEAR HUNTLY [from our OWN- correspondent:] HUXTLY, Monday Grave injuries to the head which, later proved fatal were received by Mr. John G. Phillips, aged 65, single, of Huntly, when he was knocked down by a motor-car at Farrell's Crossing, on the Great South Road near Huntly, about six o'clock this evening. The motor-car, which was driven by Mr. Joseph L. Clark, of Otahuhu, was crossing the railway line when the accident occurred. Mr. Phillips was thrown heavily. He was taken to the Huntly Hospital, and an ambulance was summoned to convey him to the Hamilton Hospital, but he died before it arrived.
