Lambton Quay, early yesterday morning brought the fire brigad t e quickly to the scene. On breaking into the building the firemen found that burglars had been at work in the showrooms on the ground floor and on the first, storey. The fire was quickly extinguished, little damage being done. The fire was confined to books alone, which smouldered without bursting into flame. Tlif extent of the thefts is not yet known.
