MISHAP NEAR SILVERDALE ONE PASSENGER INJURED The three occupants of a closed motor-car had a narrow escape from serious injury when the car skidded in loose metal and capsized on the main northern highway about four miles south of Silverdale at 10.15 yesterday morning. The driver, Mr. W. J. Hawkins, of Birkenhead, and his son were not hurt, while Mrs. Hawkins received a cut on one leg. She was taken to Birkenhead for medical attention. The party was bound for Orewa for a day's fishing when the accident occurred. The car rolled over and stopped in the centre of the road with the wheels uppermost. A passing motorist opened the doors and released the three occupants. The car was later righted and driven away under its own power, after being inspected by a patrol of the Automobile Association.
