TE AROHA CARNIVAL
[from ouh owx cohhkspondknt] TE AROJIA, Saturday To Aroha's Easter carnival was opened on Thursday evening when there were gay scenes in the' main street, which was illuminated with lines of coloured electric lights. Tho festivities lasted until a late hour. Both the Municipal and tho Pipe Bands were in attendance and kept the large crowd in a happy .mood. The children's decorated trolly parade down the street was . headed by the Pipe Band. The winners were:— Pauline Espiner, 1; Valerie Day, 2; most original exhibit, Masters Powell and Manning. Dancing in the street to tho tunes of the bagpipes band continued until a lato hour.
