ENGAGEMENTS FOR TO-DAY PREVIOUS EASTER WINNERS a REED, FOSTER AND WIGGINS The leading jockey, K. Voitrc, will not binding at Ellerslie, as he is engaged at Tauhorenikau to-day and afterwards goes on to lliccarton. The southern riders R. Reed. D. O'Connor, P. S. Atkins, G. W. Duncan and G. J. Jones all have engagements. Reed will ride Golden Wings in the Easter Handicap, which he won on Bright Glow in 1929. F. R. Foster, who will bo on Lady Quex. and H. N. Wiggins, who is to pilot Sunny Sky, have also previously won the Easter 011 Hunting Cry nnd Ilipo respectively. Reed who is to ride Princess Doreen, favourite for the Champagne Stakes, has already won this race three times, on Bapino, Gascony and Gay Ballerina. SCHOOLING OF JUMPERS GOOD DISPLAY BY CALLAMART Arch Eagle pleased more than Free Air while jumping four hurdles at Ellerslio on Thursday, but both gave satisfactory displays. Demylus (Burgess) beat Cttoma (Chaplin! in a bout over four hurdles. Demylus fenced well, nnd although Catoma hit 0110 hurdle hard he is showing more confidence. Day Lark (B\ Thompson) gave a fino display over eight hurdles. This horse is more robust than before. Arcade (P. Mcllroy), Simeon (J. Smith*. 'Neil (T. Chaplin), Callamart (C. Thomson) and Ruby Meteor (R. Miles) were sent a round of tho steeplechase fences. Arcade, when leading, ran about and dislodged his rider at the second fence of the double, with only one fence to iump. He had given a good display up to that point. Callamart. Neil and Simeon all fenced well, but RuinMeteor, who pulled off at the strnitrht entrance, did not do so well, although she got round Fnfely. Creina's King (Carmont 1 jumped carefully over r. round of the steeplechase country, but his fencing was safe and he is likely to do a lot better in company.
