BOGUS INSPECTOR
ORDERS TO PEDESTRIANS COMPLAINTS OF WOMEN [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday Coniphiints of the activities of a bogus traffic inspector have been received by the City Council. A woman states that she was walking near the Bowker Fountain when an elderly man officiously ordered her to walk in another direction. Several other women were likewise /accosted. The letter was referred to the chief traffic inspector, who reported that twice during the past month he moved a man who was acting as an inspector in the centre of the stieet. The department -lid not know the man's name.
