WEDDING IN EDINBURGH
LOWE—SELBY At St. Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh the wedding took place on February 22 of Mr. Arthur Eric Lowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Lowe, of Woodlands, El in field Road, Gosfortli, Newcastle-on-Tvne, to Miss Joan Katherine Selbv, daughter of Mr. It. E. Selby, Wellington T The choral ceremony was performed bv tlio Very Rov. Dr. Ghailes L Warr, and an uncle of the bride, Mr. Vernon O. Wright, officiated at tlio organ. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Ronald Wright, wore a becoming dress of orlam satin, cut on long, floating lines. The neck was 0111broidered in diamante, and the train was trinimed with sprays of ( orange blossom. The beautiful veil of Tambour lace was held in place by a. chaplet of orange blossoms. She carried for her bououet a sheaf of scarlet Ccitna.tionfr and lilies of the valley. Miss Myra Lawson (Wellington) and the Misses Borothv and Margaret Lowo (sisters of the bridegroom) were in attendance. Mr. Archibald Allan, Newcastle-on-Tvne was best man, and the groomsmen were Dr. I'rederick I houipson, Newcastle-on-'! yno, and Mr. Douglas James, Edinburgh.
