Sir George returned to Auckland from Wellington •by train yesterday. Mr. T. Bloodworth was a passenger toAuckland from Wellington by train yes-' terday. Mr. A. H. Gant. of the Remuera School, has been appointed headmaster at Leamington, Cambridge Bishop Williams, Bishop of Waiapu, was a passenger by the express last even ing for the South. Messrs. H. G. R. Mason and C. IT. Clinkard. M.P.'s, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday. Mr M. H. Wynyavl was a passenger to Auckland from Wellington by the express yesterday morning. Dr. W. J. Worboys, research officer of Imperial Chemical Industries, arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. Mr. 0. S. Watkins, president, of the New Zealand Racing < Conference, is indisposed and is confined to his home. Mr. Ernest Blundell, of Wellington, who has been visiting Auckland, left yesterday for the deep-sea fishing grounds. Mr. C. E- Malfroy and Mr. D. France, of Wellington, the New Zealand lawn tennis representatives, are at the Hotel" Cargen. Mrs. Franco is accompanying her husband. Sir Alfred Bankart, chairman of directors of New Zealand Breweries, Limited, and Mr. H. McCoy, Auckland manager of the company, left by the limited express last evening for the South.. Mr. F. Ross, secretary of. the Wellington Employers' Association for the past six years, has resigned. He will undertake secretarial work for various, trade and industrial organisations ,in Wellington. Mr. W. J. Mountjov has beep appointed his successor. Mr. W. Allison, Mr. H. E. Vines, Mr. J. Van Ryn arid Mr. K. Gledhill, th« American lawn tennis players, arrived from Wellington yesterday and are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Allison. .Mrs. Vines and Mrs. Van Ryn are also with ' the party.
