RINK CONTEST DECIDED

[ifKOJI OUlt OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday The final of the Howden Shield competition and the South Auckland Howling Centre's link championship was decided at the Hamilton East green to-day. when To Awamutu (T. W. Gee, G. F. Smith, W. J. North and J. W. Hawkins), beat Glen Massey (A. Connew, W. Giraud, D. MeFarlane and il. Morris), by 22 points to 1-1. PLAY AT FRANKTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday A full-rink tourney was held by the Frankton Bowling Club to-day, there being ll> entries. Baker (.Frankton.) beat Noonan ('l'e Awamutu) in Iho section A final and in the section B finals Macfarlane (Ngaruawnliia) beat Lucas (Frankton) and do Sargy (Pularuru) beat Macfarlane.
