TWO CYCLISTS HURT

BOY'S HEAD INJURIES

Two cyclists were injured, one fairly seriously, in accidents last evening. William David Price, aged 12, of 20A Nelson Street, City, was riding a bicycle in Nelson Street when the machine skidded as the boy endeavoured to avoid a motor-car. The cyclist fell on his head 7 and suffered severe injuries. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by a St. John ambulance, and his condition was described later as fairly serious. A butcher, John Sparrow, aged 17, fell from the bicycle he was riding at Otahuhu, his hand being caught in the spokes of the front wheel. The youth, who lives at 19 Winstone Road, Mount Roskillj/received painful lacerations and was taken to the hospital by a St. John ambulance. His injuries are not serious.
