GOLD MINING OPERATIONS
COMPANY NEAR THAMES WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Monday A number of unemployed miners commenced operations on the Monowai Goldmilling Company's property at Waiomio, near Thames, this morning. It is the intention of the company to engage a number of men in connection with the working of the claim, which includes the famous Zeeh-tn mine. The men, who are being paid award wages, ar» under the supervision of Mr. J. Caisley, mine manager.
