ENDING BUDGET DEBATE
|MOVE FOR URGENCY TO-DAY • PRIME MINISTER'S INTENTION j [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] WELLINGTON". Monday Determined to end the protracted ' Budget debate in the House of Represent- j atives to-morrow, the Prime Minister, the ' Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, said this even- ! ing that he would probably move for urgency to make, suie the discussion did not take a new lease of life. Referring to the length of the debate, Mr. Forbes said it was only natural that Government members who had sacrificed many opportunities to speak during the recent emergency session should be granted a little indulgence on this occasion. It is expected that the House will begin consideration of the Estimates on Wednesday and that the Government will place as many days as possible apart for that work to secure its completion within a reasonable time. r The Customs Amendment Bill and the Electoral Amendment Bill are due to appear during the week.
