F. Kells Mason, cf Auckland, occurred this afterneon in the Awaking Valley. Neither driver wa< hart, but a ■causes- ; rer in Mr. Mason's car, Miss Mary Fiyro, : of 10 Redmond Street, Pcnscnbv. received i injuries to tee face which necessitated her : admission to the Te Haiti Hospital. Her j condition last evenin:; was retorted to be ! satisfactorv. The accident occurred about two miles trcrn "The .tunnel," in the Awakino Valley. Sir Donald's car was travelling from Wellington to Waitomo Caves. Tne ether vehicle was proceeding southward i to Taranaki from Auckland. Both cars were damaged, but Miss Fiynn was the only occupant to suffer injury to any extent. She was given attention immediately bv Sir Donald, and later brought to hospital.
