SINKING FUNDS BILL ANOTHER GISBORNE PROTEST [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] GISBORNE, Monday Resentment against tho Local Authorities Sinking Fund Bill and its interference with the litigation pending between the Poverty Bay Power Board and Public Trustee was shown at to-day's meeting of the Harbour Board, when the following resolution was carried : —"That this board protests against tho Government's arbitrary interference with the legal rights of the Poverty Bay Power Board and points out that this action is likely to be most damaging to the credit, not "only of the Public Trustee, but also of the Government itself."
