PROTEST BY MINERS

MEETING AT GLEN AFTON THE SHARING OF WORK As a further protest against what they alleged was "tho failure of the management of tho Mac Donald mine to fulfil an agreement with the Glen Afton men to share work equally," the miners at Glen Afton hold another stop-work meeting vesterday. It was decided to work to-dav on condition-that in future work should be shared equally between the two mines. It was stated 'by a union official yesterday that it had been agreed to share work at both mines equally, but that tho Glen Afton was gradually being laid idle more often than tho Mac Donald. Tho position was aggravated by tho posting during the week-end of a notice that tho Mac Donald mine would work yesterday, when it normally would havo been idle in accordance with tho agreement. As a result tho stop-work meeting was called.
