GIFTS TO REV. L. H. HUNT jS Several presentations were made to tbaj§| Rev. Leonard H. Hunt, who is .Auckland to take charge of the Karori Presbyterian Church, and Mrs. Hunt, at " a farewell social in the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church hall on Saturday " evening. The Rev. T. Halliday presided, and ministers from other churches in tliej • district were also present. A vote of £IOO as a parting gift wasj g made to Mr. Hunt by the congregation.,-. Other presents included a portable type-' ' writer to Mr. Hunt, a dressing table to Mrs. Hunt, and travelling rugs to ; 's both. Earlier in the 'week Mrs. Hunt had : ; |- also received gifts from the choir and the || Ladies' Guild. During, the evening th% ; Rev. Macdonald Aspland and the Rev. W« Gilrnour made a presentation to Mr.- JJ; Hunt on behalf of the Presbytery, andpaid a tribute to Mr. Hunt's work as a member. Several other speaker* eulogised Mr; Hunt's services during Ins || 11 years as minister at Mount Eden. Mr< Hunt thanked the various organisations ;.i| represented for the generous expressions .;f| of goodwill„shown to himself and Mrs* Hunt.
