PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT LEGISLATION THIS SESSION THE NIEMEYER RECOMMENDATION [BY TELEGRAPH SPECIAL P.EPORTEP.] WELLINGTON, Saturday Predictions that legislation for the establishment of a central reserve bank in New Zealand would bo introduced in Parliament this session were officially confirmed to-day. The likelihood of such a step was mentioned by the lit. Hon. J. G. Coates on his return from the Ottawa Conference on Sunday, and tho Prime Minister, the lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes, announced today that a bill giving effect to tho general recommendations of Sir Otto Nierneyer on the question would definitely appear. In point of fact, a bill dealing with tho subject was drafted last year, but it will be necessary to revise it, as Mr. Forbes said thero would be some modification of the original plan, in line with the recommendations made by Mr. Coates arising out of tho tenor of the Ottawa deliberations and of subsequent inquiries made by the Hon. W. Downie Stewart in England.
