SECOND CUT IN SALARIES LINE TO BE ABANDONED (Received September 23, 5.5 p.m.) TORONTO, Sept. 22 The Toronto Evening Telegram states that the directors of the Canadian Pacific Railway have decided on a cut of 10 per cent/ in the salaries of all the company's officials throughout the system. A similar cut was made six months ago. The new reduction, therefore, will mean the loss of one-fifth of the salaries. A message from Ottawa says it is understood that the most drastic change under the transportation report will be the abandonment of 1000 miles of transcontinental line duplicated across Ontario.
