CRANE OPERATOR HURT
FINGERS IN MACHINERY * y While greasing one of the Auckland Harbour Board's cranes yesterday morning, a crane operator, Mr. George W. Clarke, aged 40, who lives at 20 Brixton Road, Mount Eden, caught three fingers of his right hand in some moving machinery. Severe injuries wore caused and he was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, Late last evening, however, it had not been found necessary to amputate the fingers.
