CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH Auckland.—There was a continuation of fine weather yesterday. - The sky was cloudy in the morning, but clear after midday. The barometer was steady at. 29.95 in. Wellington.—lt was a glorious spring day yesterday, the sun shining' brightly from a cloudless sky. The wind was very light and variable. Christchurch. —-There was a good deal of cloud yesterday and a fresh breeze from the north-east was blowing. The maximum temperature was 51 degrees. The barometer registered 29.75 in. at 5 p.m. and was falling.
