DOMINION DAY
TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION ON MONDAY The 25th anniversary of the elevation of New Zealand from the status of a selfgoverning colony to that of a Dominion will be observed on Monday. Although not a general holiday, the Stock Ex- f i change, banks. Supreme Lourt and a number of professional offices will be closed. It is customary to observe Dominion Day, which falls on September 26, on the Monday nearest t.o that date. This year the actual date coincides with a Monday. According to a recent cablegram a silver jubilee celebration of Dominion Day is to be held by the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association in Sydney. Arrangements have been made to screen, in conjunction with a smoke concert, a number ! of New Zealand films.
