LOST IN THE BUSH

A FARMER'S EXPERIENCE LOCATED BY SEARCHERS [by telegraph—own* correspondent] TAUMARUNUI, Fridaj After being lost, in rough country for nearly 24 hours, Mr. H. Loft, farmer, of Ohura, was found by a search party yesterday little the worse for his experience. In company with three others Mr. Loft set out. early on Wednesday morning to muster cattle out of rough bush country at the back of his farm. Late in the afternoon he sent his companions home, saying that he. would go on to the top of the ridge before returning. As he did not return, his companions set out again after tea and made a vain search on Thursday morning.

A second partv went out and other parties were organised to continue the search if necessary. Mr. Loft was located about two o'clock yesterday afternoon near the boundary of Mr. Norman Smith's farm, having wandered a long way offithe track. Beyond being very hungry he was none the worse. The country through which he had wandered was very rough and broken, and he was fortunate in not having to spend night in the b»sh.
