CARLTON CROQUET
A very enjoyable bridge afternoon was held at the Farmers' Tearooms in connection with the Carlton Croquet Club. Mrs. Baker and Miss Keatley (the hostesses) received the guests,, the former wearing a wine-coloured satin beaute en» semble with black hat, and Miss Keatley in navy blue satin beaute with winecoloured hat. Among those present were: —Mesdames Hamilton (president of the association), Sykes, Shaw, Shroff, Bird, Laurie, Wilson, Dalton, Perry, Davey, Bell, Edlin, Maxwell-Walker, Mathews, Jones, Holly, Andrews, Dukes, Bucker, Joass, Browne, Dett, Baker, Keatty, Lawrence, Allsopp, Shields, Rennick ( Harrison, Fletcher, Thrull, Clark, Weatherley, Walls, Daley, Alexander, Black, Taylor, Kirk, Cole, Millar, Magill and Miss Browne. The prizes for the afternoon were won by Mesdames Dalton, Kirk and Magill.
