BRIDGE AFTERNOON
The Ponsonby Croquet Club held a successful bridge afternoon in the West End Bowling Club's pavilion, which bad been lent for the occasion. The glorious sunshine and beautiful harbour view added much to the enjoyment of the gathering. Mrs. R. H. Horsley, president, thanked the visitors for their interest in the club and hoped that as a result of the series of a'fternoons held during the winter the club would be welcoming many new members. The prize-winners were Mesdames Snedden, W. White and Healey. The hostesses of the tables were Mesdames Horsley, Snedden, Wetherilt, C. Hardley, W. F. Hardley, Black, Oswald, Green, Smith, Hodgson, Thompson, Aitchison, Cormack, Mitiid, Scoullar, Crowe, Evans, Powley, Lucena, Foster, and Miss Burton.
