BANK'S GIFT OF £4OOO
THE AUCKLAND SHARE In allocating the sum of £4OOO which ihev have made available for assisting needy women and children in the Dominion, the directors of the Bank of New Zealand have given £1250 to Auckland. It is announced that this sum has been distributed among 24 organisations which are administering relief to women and children. When the gift was first announced it was understood that the four main centres of the Dominion were to deceive £IOOO each, but the greater claims of Auckland have been recognised.
