HUDNER [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Tho doath occurred yesterday at her residence iri Thackeray Street,, Hamilton, of Mrs. Honoria Hudner at tlio age of 77 years. Born in Curraghs, County Cork, Mrs. Hudner came to tho Dominion in 1889. Sho settled in Canterbury and had resided at Hamilton sinco coming to tho Waikato 27 years ago, Mrs, Hudner is survived by her husband, Mr, Richard Hudner, threo sons, Messrs. R, and J. Hudner, of Auckland, and F. Hudner, of Hamilton, and two daughters, Miss H. Hudner, of Auckland, and Miss K. Hudnor, who is abroad. MR. ROBERT DICKSON [by TELEGRAPH-—OWN correspondent] WHANG AREI, Thursday The death occurred yesterday at Hikurangi of Mr. Robert Dickson, aged 50 years, a well-known Rugby supporter for many years. Mr. Dickson had been engineer at tho Hikurangi Coal Company's mine. During his younger days ho was a leading Rugby player in Thames, and ho played for a number of years in the north. Upon his retirement from tho game Mr. Dickson was, for several years, president of the Hikurangi Football Club and a representative on the Whangatei Rugby Union. Ho is survived by his wife and two sons, Messrs. G. and R. Dickson, and one daughter, who is a nurse in tho Raweno Hospital. MR. C. P. TAYLOR [Br TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] KOTORUA, Thursday The death of Mr. Charles Poune Taylor took place yesterday in King George V. Hospital, For many years he lived in Auckland, where he followed the occupation of engraver. He had lived in Rotorua for the past 27 years and was a prominent bowler and a well-known and highly-respected citizen. He leaves a widow, one son and two daughters. MR. W. E. JONES [FROM otjr own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday One of the oldest residents of Hamilton and an early pioneer of the Auckland Province, Mr. William Edward Jones, of Oakley Avenue, Claudelands, died to-day at the age of 90 years. Born in County Roscommon, Ireland, Mr. Jones arrived in New Zealand when a child, his parents settling in the Tamaki district. While only a youth ho saw service in the hostilities with the Maoris, and at the close of the war was engaged in contracting work at Auckland and in the Waikato. He took up permanent residence in tho Waikato district about 45 years ago, farming originally at Te Rahn, near Te Awamutu, and later at Tauwhare, while he. was also interested in properties at Cambridge and Rolotuna. Mr. Jones, who had lived in retirement at Hamilton for tho past 25 years, was a remarkably active man in spito of his great ago, and retained his faculties to his death. He took a keen interest in agricultural matters, and was a member of tho Waikato Winter Show and Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Associations. As recently as 1928 he visited the United Kingdom with the delegation of Now Zealand farmers. He was one of the founders and served on tho directorate of tho old Horsham Downs Dairy Company. Mr. Jones, who was predeceased by his wife five years ago, is survived by four daughters and six sons. They are Mother M. St. Eutropie, of India, Mother M. St. Linus, of Christchurch, Mrs. A. O'Keefe, of Cambridge, and Mrs. E. C. Prendergast, of Hamilton, and Messrs. F. and W. G. Jones, of Eureka, R. J. Jones, of Tahuna, V. W. Jones, of Hamilton, A. M. Jones, of Auckland, and C. E.
