FAIR AT TAURANGA

The Tauranga Girl Guides held a very successful country fair in tho Town Hall this week, which was attended by a large number of visitors. Enjoyable entertainment was provided by tho guides and brownies. Tho deputy-mayor, Mr. C. Whiting, officially opened the fair. Those in charge of the stalls were:— " Cookery nook," Mrs. Robbins and Mrs. Brewer; " garden cottage," Mrs. Eider and Mrs. Kennedy; "work-basket cottage," Mrs. Castles and Mrs. Burgent; " sugar loaf cottage," Captain Porter and the guides; "tea garden," Mrs. Watt and Mrs. Hiclccy; "gipsies' lent," tho guides; " village pump," Miss Swan and Miss Carter: " lavender ladies," Mrs. D. A; Ivory and Miss Suzanne Ivory.
