TWO MAORI PRIESTS The Rev. Kahi Hadfield, who has been in charge of the Maori mission district at Waitara since 1927, has received notice of exchange with the Rev. Wirihana Maioha, To Kuiti. Mr. Hadfield, whose Maori name is Harawira, was educated at Te Aute College. He served in France as a company sergeant-major with the Pioneer Battalion. In 1920 he was ordained deacon at Auckland by Archbishop Averill. After ordination as a priest the following year lie served in the North Auckland district until 1927, when he was appointed missionary priest in Taranaki, with headquarters at Waitara. Mr. Iladfield's successor at Waitara, the Rev. Wirihana Maioha, attended St. John's College, Auckland, and was ordained deacon in 1929 and priest in 1930 by the Bishop of Waikato. Ho was appointed missionary priest at Te Kuiti in 1929.
