COMPETITION SUCCESSES Congratulations to the Auckland Camera Club in winning the New Zealand interclub competition for the second successive year were extended by the president, Mr. Ncllo Porter, at the club's monthly meeting. Mr. E. C. Lackland, a member of the club, who exhibited the champion picture, was also congratulated. Mr. Douglas F. Lyons was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for past services upon his resignation from the post of honorary secretary Mr. T. Olson was appointed to the vacancy. A portfolio of pictures from the Royal Photographic Society was exhibited during the evening. They comprised photographs by Miss Dorothy Wilding, of London, one of the world's foremost pictorial artists. Mr. H. Tornquist gave a lecture on "Portraiture," and criticised the pictures submitted for the home portrait competition. Some excellent examples of portraiture were entered, and the judges awarded the following prizes:—Mr. Nello Porter, 1; Mr. R. E. Ash, 2; Mr. J. Drought, 3.
