WOMAN PASSENGER'S DEATH
ADJOURNMENT OF INQUEST

HUNTLY, Tuesday
An inquest- was opened at Huntly today by Mr. P. Harris, coroner, into the death "of Mrs. Evelyn Florance Guest, aged 38, whose body was found lying near the line at the Huntly railway station yesterday afternoon shortly after the departure of the Rotorua .express for Auckland.
David Guest, farmer, of Rangiriri, said that deceased was his wife. He last saw her on July 29 at Hamilton, where she had been staying. He last heard from her last Sunday morning,, when she asked him to forward her some money to Auckland, as she intended to go and stay there. He heard nothing more until he was notified by the police at Huntly that her body had been found on the line at the station.
Witness said that deceased was of nervflus temperament and highly strung, and had entered an institution. On the last occasion she had entered thß* institution voluntarily.
James Stephen Scoullar, stationmaster at Huntly, said that deceased was run over by the Rotorua express at Huntly station. There was no evidence to show whether it was an accident or otherwise. Deceased was a passenger on the express from Frankton Junction to Auckland. The inquest was adjourned sine die. V ____________
