MEAT POOL SCHEME
REJECTED BY LOCAL BODIES
A decision against taking advantage of tho Unemployment Board's scheme of supplying cheap meat to registered relief workers, with the co-operation of local authorities, was reached by the Northcoto Borough Council last evening. The Mayor, Mr. R. Martin, said the council already had a satisfactory meat pool in operation. The Mount Albert Borough Council, at its meeting last evening, decided to take no action in the matter.
