ENGAGEMENTS
An engagement is announced between Adeline Maughan (Girlie) Jones, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward.Jones, Avoca Hamilton, and Leonard Zillwood, only son of Mr. L. B. Zillwood and the late Mrs. Zillwood, of Auckland. The engagement is announced between Melva Caroline, eldest daughter of Mrs. A E. Hinldey, of Hamilton, and tho late Mr W. J B". Hinkley, late of New Plymouth, and Harold Thomas Ross, only son of Mrs. A. L. Dance (formerly Mrs. Ross), of Taumarunui. In the Times (London) the engagement is announced between Henry McMillan Alves Major, of Masterton, elder son of Dr. Major (principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford), and Mrs. Majo* 1 , of Merton-on-Otmoor Vicarage, and 'Muriel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Cameron, of Flat Point, Wairarapa. A marriage has been arranged, and will shortly take place, between Lieutenant John Rowe Westmacott, R.N., son of Alfred Westmacott, of Norcott, Bernbridge, Isle of Wight, and of the late Marjorie, second daughter of the late Mr. Albert do Lande Long, of Crosby Cote, Northallerton, and Ruth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Pharazyn, of Hastings, Hawke's Bay, writes our London correspondent.
