WEDDING
DUNN—BERRY
A pretty wedding was celebrated in the Presbyterian Church, Kaikohe, on July 8, when Alice, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Berry, of Kaikohe, was married to Mr. Edward Rex Dunn, of Makarau, third son of Mr. and Mrs A. R. Dunn, of Alfriston. The Rev. W. T. Brabyn officiated. The . church was tastefully decorated by friends of tho bride. The bride, who entered the church accompanied by her father, wore a frock of crepe suedo with fashioned bodice and silver-trimmed shoulder capes. The skirt fell full to the ankles with diagonal flounces silver edged. The veil of beautiful old Brussels lace, which is an heirloom in tho bridegroom's family, was attached to a net cap trimmed with pearls and orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of pale pink roses and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Nancy Berry, sister to the bride, and Miss Audrey Dunn, the bridegroom's sister, wore ankle-length frocks of pink satin brocade and coatees of velvet to match; tho head-dresses were chaplets of pink velvet embellished with pink fiowerettes. They carried bouquets of luculi, bouvardias and asparagus fern. Mr. Noel Bodle was best man, and Mr. Bruce Berry groomsman. Mrs. A. G. Wright presided at the organ. The pupils of the Kaikohe School, where Miss Berry had been engaged in teaching for five years, lined both sides of. the pathway from the road to the church door. On their departure from tho church they showered the newly-married couple with confetti and gave three rousing cheers as they' drove off. After tho ceremony a reception was held at the residence of tho bride's parents, Taheke Road.
