SITUATIONS VACANT
Sir.—ls it too much to ask would-be employers who advertise for service through the medium of your columns to answer some of tho applications they receive. It would be so simple to select a few promising ones and answer them by mail, choosing (he final candidate by interview, and to answer the remainder by insertion of another advertisement thanking applicants and regretting that the position lias been filled. Surely common courtesy is no + j very much to expect? And it would sol; at rest the worried minds of all others concerned. C.E.C.
