DOLLAR STABILISATION.
SENATE REJECTS A BILL.
EXPANSION OF CURRENCY. WASHINGTON, July 11. The Goldsborough Dollar Stabilisation Bill was rejected by the Senate to-day. Mr. J. J. Blaine (Republican—Wisconsin) had offered the bill as a substitute for the Glass Currency Expansion amendment sponsored by Mr. W. E. Borah. The Goldsborough Bill, which had been approved by the House of Representatives, would authorise the Federal Reserve Board to fix the value of the foliar at the average for the period from 1921 to 1929.
It rejected by the Senate without * vote being recorded. .The Glass Billion Dollar Currency Expansion Bill was adopted as an amendment to the pending Homo Loan Discount measure.
