AMERICA'S IDLE.
RELIEF BILL VETOED.
ANOTHER' BEING DRAFTED.
(Received July 12, 5.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON. July 11. The President, Mr. Hoover, has vetoed the Unemployment Relief Bill on the ground 7 that it violates every sound principle of public finance and government.. The leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives agreed at a conference on plans to introduce a new measure to-morrow and its passage within a few hours is expected. They hope to place before the President in three days a new • bill quite similar to the one vetoed except that it will not authorise loans to individuals or private industries, which was previously objected to by Mr. Hoover.
