PAST YEAR'S ACTIVITIES
There wns a record attendance of delegates at the annual meeting of the Auckland Lawn Tenuis Association last evening. An enthusiastic reception was extended to Mr. R. B. Hardy upon his re-election for a further term as president. The report and balance-sheet, a resume of which was published in the Herald of June 29, were adopted. Mr. Hardy referred to the financial loss made at the Domain and the Windmill Road courts, but pointed out that the number of inter-club matches played on these courts had materially benefited the clubs and that an allowance might well be made which would wipe out the loss shown. The past season reflected the steady progress of the game in Auckland. Prospects of visits from overseas teams during the coming season were bright and at a later meeting plane would be brought forward for increasing the accommodation at Stanley Street.
