STRUCTURE IN NEW YORK. FOUNDATION-STONE CEREMONY. (Received July 3. 5.5 p.m.) KEW YORK. Jn'v 2. ILord SoulhWrtoogh. chairman of the syndicate sponsoring the project, laid the foundation-stone of the British Empire Building, which will house various British interests. The structure is a unit in the so-called "Rockefeller Centre." comprising a great group of cultural, and art buildings :n Fifth Avenue, this gift of the Rockefellers. The ceremony was attended by Mr. ,J. D. Rockefeller, junior. Lord Southborough said lie Eraipire building "will represent :a Jts maturity British trade and coimnerc-e."
